Palo Escrito wood, from the family of Dalbergias, is the one with less density. This wood is really easy to work with, very steady and light. It has a lighter colour, most of all if we compare this specie with Indian Rosewood.

COMMON NAMES: Palo Escrito, Palo Corazón.

ORIGIN: Mexico

DESCRIPTION: Density 620 kg/m3. Sapwood is yellowish white and the heartwood is brownish red. Darker grain figure.

RECOMMENDATIONS: It is recommended to use high powered equipment. Tolerates well fluctuations in temperature.

DRYING: Slow drying speed. Drying must be done naturally.

USES: Guitar backs and sides. Furniture and woodworking.
