Plywood Acoustic Guitar
Plywood parts for acoustic guitars, although traditionally considered of lesser quality, are by no means so. For some years, many top luthiers have been using this material because of its many advantages over solid wood. Among them, the possibility of using exotic woods of great beauty such as ziricote or Pale Moon ebony for a fraction of the price of the same solid piece. Not to mention stability: it is extremely difficult for a plywood piece to crack or split due to weather or humidity. Acoustic guitar plywood products produce a surprisingly good sound, although it is true that it can never compare to a solid guitar. Nevertheless, these products are very attractive and their price makes them a great option for guitar making.
