Cello
The cello or violoncello is a bowed string instrument with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is a member of the violin family of musical instruments, which also includes the violin and viola. It is similar to the double bass ,it has an end pin that rests on the floor to support the instruments ‘s weight. Sound is produced by drawing a bow across the strings or by plucking the strings. The player sits with the body of the instrument resting between the legs
Cellos are part of the standard symphony orchestra, which usually includes eight to twelve players. Much of the time, cellos provide part of the harmony for the orchestra. Often, the cello section plays the melody for a brief period, before returning to the harmony.
The cello is most closely associated with European classical music, and has been described as the closest sounding instrument to the human voice. In Maderas Barber we offer you all the necessary for the building of this incredible instrument.
