Our love for wood began more than 63 years ago and over time it evolved in an unexpected and natural way, as it happens with the great loves of life.
It all started when Rafael Barber in 1957, before going to Germany to study the language, went to Madrid to visit his aunt. She was giving shelter to a very old man who made guitars; that man asked Rafael if he could bring him some tops from Germany, which were impossible to find here in Spain.
These few tops that brought aroused the interest of many guitar makers who began to ask him for more and more wood.
The demand for more exotic wood was growing as we were getting trained to travel around the world in search of the best woods, of great beauty and exceptional sound.
A simple coincidence led us, growing day by day, until today we have the largest and variety of woods for musical instruments in the world.
