Solvent and Paint-removing
Solvents are indicated for diluting polyurethanes, nitrocellulose lacquers and dyes. In each case we must use a type of solvent depending on the application and the environment, it’s not the same to apply in wet or dry environments.
The colourless solvent based stripping gel has a high removal power. It doesn’t alter the colour of the wood and respects the painted surface. Due to its special thixotropy it doesn’t drip.
It is applied with a brush in quite thick films of the product, leaving it to act between 5 and 15 minutes. Then, the excess is removed using a spatula. NEVER APPLIED IT WITH A SPRAY GUN.
If it is a very hard or old paint, it is convenient to grate it, making cuts in the grid, before the application and repeat this operation several times, since the product attacks and dissolves slowly the layer or layers of paint.
Before repainting on the pickled surface, it is necessary to clean it perfectly using solvent.
The product shouldn’t be left more than one hour applied on the surface to be stripped as it would form a hard coat.
Due to the specialized nature of this system it is necessary to study each project individually, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any doubts.
