Percussion instrument with centuries of antiquity that with the passage of time has become typical of Spanish folklore. The best material for the construction of castanets is the wood, better the harder it is. They can be made of boxwood, walnut, Indian rosewood; but blackwood and ebony wood are for sure the best options for the manufacture of castanets.
