Bandurria neck is a main part for the good performance of the instrument. It sustains different pieces and the instrument. The fingerboard is in the wides part of the neck, the other face is curved to facilitate the finger slips.

It is important that the wood for the neck is rigid but not too much rigid as sound will be affected. Here is where the reinforcements come into it made with innovative materials like the carbon fibre.

It is very important to choose for the construction of the Bandurria neck the best wood. The level of torsion and movement are important characteristic to consider. In Maderas Barber we have the best woods for necks: Honduras Cedar, Mahogany and African Mahogany.
