Cherry wood is one of the most appreciated European species thanks to its warm reddish tone, fine grain and smooth texture. With a density between 610 and 630 kg/m³, it is light, stable and pleasant to work on both lathe and carving bench.
Botanically known as Prunus avium and sourced from Europe, it cuts cleanly and takes a polished finish with ease. Ideal for decorative objects, small sculptures, turned handles or handcrafted boxes.
