- Description: European wood, easy to work with (similar to Beech), widely used for lathe to make pens, bowls, and combinations with other species.

- Wood Description: Its color is pale pink-brown and the sapwood color is lighter. The sapwood and the growing rings are clearly differentiated. It has a lustrous and fine grain. The fiber is straight.
- Recommendations: During sawing, the saws sanding is normal and for the brushing is recommended an angle of 20º. The gluing, nailing, screwing and finishing are carried out without difficulty.
- Drying: It dries fast and it presents deformations risks, so it should be dried slowly.
- Uses: Furniture and cabinetmaking: used in small sizes. Woodturning. The wood that comes from the root is very estimated for decorative applications.
