Two of the four soundboard pairs I ordered have fairly close, uniform grain. One set has a knot that means there will be a rather large section of wavy grain on the lower bout. Another has quite a bit wider, less attractive grain.

Very nice tops for the price. Only a small knot in a place that can be avoided in one of them, in the other the grain is a little wavy and grain separation varies, but that should not be a problem other than aesthetic (and to me it looks great). I have not used them yet, but they feel very stiff and the tap tone is beautiful. I will buy again.

Comme d'habitude, ces bois pour tables d'harmonie sont parfaits. Ils possèdent des fils bien droits et serrés. Il sont pour être travaillés.

No me pareció mala idea probar a comprar madera de segunda esperando alguna tara que se podría reparar o dejar como adorno, pero para mi sorpresa, es una madera que no desmerece. El único defecto es que vienen a diferente espesor pero nada que un cepillado y un buen lijado no pueda arreglar. Los anillos de crecimiento eran impecables, de una separación más que mínima y su vibra increiblemente buena.

Para ser de 2º y 3º, me esperaba que el producto fuese peor. pero para mi sorpresa, es una madera excelente, con una vibra exquisita y con una separación mínima entre aros de crecimiento. No tenía tara alguna y aunque una hoja era de un grosor superior, nada como un cepillo y unas lijas para poder serrarla después a la medida exacta. Estoy más que satisfecho.
