AAA Curly Maple Classical Guitar Sides
Overview AAA Curly Maple Classical Guitar Sides:
In our opinion, few woods have the potential of a curly maple side. Its virtues caught the attention of the greatest guitar makers, such as Hauser and Santos Hernández, who employed it in their guitars. It is undoubtedly one of the most sought after tonewoods for its acoustic qualities.
Experts say that it has a brighter tone than mahogany, with a faster attack and a very quick response to the touch. All this without even taking into account its incredible curly aspect, which acquires almost three-dimensional shades once it has been lacquered.
European maple - Acer pseudoplatanus - is a light-colored wood, with golden reflections that intensify when oxidized. It is a wood with no appreciable grain, which in many cases eliminates the need to use a filler. It is easy to work despite its hardness (although it requires sharp tools) and a bright and attractive finish can be achieved simply by using a scraper or planer, without even needing sandpaper. It is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant woods to work with.
In the AA grade backs you will find excellent pieces, with a good amount of flaming. As in AAA grade, white with golden reflections that may present some stains or knots. They are usually matched with a back of the same quality.
