  • Description: Curly Maple, it is a light white-yellow wood with a density of 610-680 kg/m3. The sapwood is no different from the heartwood; drying is recommended in a low-temperature chamber and if the drying is done very quickly the wood retains its white hue, however if done slowly takes on a slightly brown. It has a smooth, uniform texture. It is a wood very easy to work with. Curly Maple or Flamed Maple wood is prized for its figure, three-dimensionality and for providing liquidity to the surface.
