These Santos Rosewood (Pau Ferro) FSC 100% sides come from responsibly managed Bolivian forests, ensuring legal harvesting, biodiversity protection, fair labor conditions and full traceability to the luthier’s workshop. Certified tonewoods provide reliability and ethical sourcing for professional guitar making.
Botanically known as Machaerium scleroxylon, this species—widely recognised as Pau Ferro—offers high density and excellent dimensional stability. These properties deliver a clear, articulate response, ideal for acoustic guitar construction where structural consistency is essential.
AA Grade pieces show balanced colour variation, good uniformity and areas of figured grain, a valued feature of this tonewood. Minor cosmetic marks remain minimal and fully compatible with high-end instruments.
