Overview Schneider gramil and blade:
The Schneider circular gramil is designed to score with absolute precision the cutting lines of purflings and bindings. Use the flat side of the tool on all surfaces to be cut, with the exception of the central waist of the guitar and the cutaways, where the curved section must rest against the surface. The flat side of the blade should always be toward the side of the material where a cleaner cut is desired. The scribe is also an excellent aid for first marking the wood before routing to prevent splintering.
The blade depth adjusting arm is adjustable from above (a very useful feature), the blade is adjusted and secured with an allen wrench. The body is black anodized aluminum.
