Luban No. 62 Low Angle Joint Plane
Luban planes offer excellent value and quality, and are inspired by the standards of historic British manufacturers. Highly recommended by luthiers, cabinet makers and woodworkers, these planes offer great precision thanks to their +/- 1.5 thousandth of an inch tolerance grinding and blades made of T10 carbon steel, water hardened to RC63.
The No. 62 Low Angle Plane features a brass lever mouth adjuster, Bubinga handle and stainless steel blade locking lid. It has a 3 mm thick, 51 mm wide steel blade.
Based on the original Stanley No. 62 plane, it was originally designed to remove large chips across the grain. However, it has become popular because its low angle makes it easy to work at the ends of the grain.
