Nine different thicknesses: 0.03, 0.04, 0.06, 0.07, 0.08, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.30mm. The set of gauges can be folded and stored in its plastic bag, or hung on a tool board. One detail we love about this Hosco gauge set is that the larger gauges are located at both ends, protecting the thinner, and therefore more delicate, gauges.

When to use the Hosco Thickness Gauges Set?

This set of carbon steel gauges is the proper gadget to accurately calculate the maximum depth at which we will cut the grooves of our instruments nuts, without fear of overdoing it and causing fret buzz in the lower area of the fingerboard. We can also use them to check the curvature of the neck with the help of the precision rulers. It is also an essential and valuable tool in a luthier's workshop when it comes to adjusting the string action of the instrument. Each gauge can be used individually, or in combination to achieve the different thicknesses required.
