Overview of the Hosco Japanese fret saw

Traditional Japanese fret groove saw for cutting fret slots. It features a tooth spacing of 1.07mm to accurately cut 0.60mm wide fret slots in even the hardest woods.

Why Use the Japanese Saw Hosco

The Japanese saw cuts by pulling the saw backwards, traction cutting. This type of cutting significantly reduces effort and prevents flexing of the blade, giving you much more control and a faster, more accurate cut than with European hand saws. This saw has a 120mm blade length and a 180mm handle. Like all Hosco fret saws, the TL-H-FSW060H is the perfect companion to the Hosco fret grooving guide.
