Electric Guitar Kit Subfretboard Telecaster Maple
Overview Electric Guitar Kit Subfretboard Telecaster Maple:
Discover all the sonic possibilities provided by the Electric Guitar Kit Subfretboard Telecaster Maple. Developed by Javier Alonso and Pablo del Real, the Subfretboard system consists of a neck featuring a metal piece that runs along its entire length and from which the frets themselves emerge. This design, where the frets and nut are made of the same material and are screwed to a central cavity in the body, dramatically increases the resonance, sustain and perfectly balances the volume between the strings. All this results in a guitar with a much more balanced sound, without the need for pedals or further editing in the recordings.
How to refret then?
Any change is daunting, we understand. The Subfretboard system completely changes the concept of individual frets that sit on top of the wood as they are built on the same piece of metal that goes underneath where the fretboard would normally be. But fear not: the alloy used, Zicral, is stronger than traditional Nickel Silver frets, and the system is designed so that the frets have a height that allows them to be rectified up to four times. More than enough. In addition, the system allows the use of different woods and materials in the space between frets, which opens the door to combinations never seen before. Weight is not a problem either: this alloy is very light and a neck with this system weighs no more than an ordinary one.
We invite you to visit this post in our blog where we describe the product in depth. Try the Subfretboard system that gave so much to talk about at NAMM and for which gurus of the stature of Tom Anderson have had words of praise.
