- Mahogany Carved Top for Electric Guitar and Bass is a very good option for those who want to beautify their Guitar Body with a medium thickness (16 mm), perfect to carve and shape the Guitar Body Top and thus recreate the great Carved Tops designs. On the other hand, it allows an easier carving than the thicker ones, reducing the weight of the instrument and of course spendin less money, having at the end a great guitar.
As for the Mahogany, it is a pink freshly cut wood, which becomes reddish brown over the years. Its fiber is straight or slightly interlocked, its grain is very beautiful and unique. The drying rate is fast. It is an easy wood to work with. It was one of the most prized woods for cabinetmaking history.
