The construction of the top of a classical guitar is one of the most tricky and time consuming processes a luthier can face. To help you, we offer you the Red Cedar + Nomex Finished Classical Guitar Top MB Exclusive. This finished top combines two thin sheets of red cedar with an inner layer of Nomex. This material is a type of nylon that is used in such demanding fields as Formula 1 and firefighting. The combination produces an exceptionally lightweight top that has the same strength or rigidity as a solid wood top, making it the ideal piece for the top of an acoustic instrument. The top has been glued and calibrated to 2.8mm, and comes with the model 306 rosette installed.
