Alpine Spruce Tops New Moon Acoustic Guitar
- Dimensions: 550x215x4,5 mm
- Botanical Name: Picea abies
- Origin: Alps
- Density: 440-470 kg/m3
- Description: New Moon Alpine Spruce Tops for Classic, Flamenca, or Western (dreadnought) guitar have slow-growing rings from the center to the ends, with small variations between them, are cut at 90º radially or with a slightly minimum variation, uniform color in its tonality, and usually clean of defects. If so, it will not affect its structure or its acoustic properties.
The trees cut during the New Moon phase have less water inside, and this with proper storage of the wood, favors the drying process, providing more stability and better sound qualities to the tops cut during this phase of the Moon.
Almost all the tops of this wood and quality have plenty of “mirror”.
This type of Spruce and its sound and aesthetic properties are considered one of the best in the world.
Used for high-end guitars. Highly appreciated and demanded by Luthiers from all over the world./p>
