    Wood piece covered with a thin leather layer used for the final finishes of the blade.
    When sliding the blade against the leather it's uniformly pressed, removing any burr or imperfection. You can use an specific plaster like the one that Pfeil offers too.
    It's necessary to turn the blade for its use as it's just one sided.
