Description of the Luban 103 Bronze Standard Angle Pocket Plane

Luban planes offer excellent value and quality, and are inspired by the standards of historic British manufacturers. Highly recommended by luthiers, cabinet makers and woodworkers, these planes offer great precision thanks to their +/- 1.5 thousandth of an inch tolerance grinding and blades made of T10 carbon steel, water hardened to RC63.

The Luban 103 Standard Angle Pocket Plane model has a cast bronze body and an adjustable brass counter-blade with a brass gear. The blade is set at a 20° angle to the sole of the plane body. The blade can be adjusted with a stainless steel set screw. Its weight of 450 grams makes it very comfortable to use.
