Guitarras Bartal“Flamenco is a musical expression which draws inspiration from all corners of the world.”

Eitan’s greatest passion is the making of Flamenco guitars in which he captures the true essence of the “Duende Flamenco”

As a professional guitarist and musician, Eitan builds guitars with a first hand, unique understanding of what a player needs. With a background rich in different musical streams, he has a broad grasp of sound encompassing genres of east and west, classical through jazz to rock’n’roll.

Providing a service of not only repair, he is a restoration artist who applies his mastered skills of traditional Spanish techniques fused with modern methods and a profound understanding of guitar geometry and acoustics. Making both traditional Spanish guitars and exclusive designs custom built for his clients.

After five years of hard work alongside Maestro Rafael Romero, Eitan felt he had touched the core of the true Flamenco sound.

Eitan believes that a new ethnic sound is emerging from Israel that expresses a young country’s development in forming its own identity. Much similar to the history of Andalucia the motherland of Flamenco, Israel too is a melting pot of colorful traditions and cultures, flavors and music.

Biography

Ever since Eitan received his first flamenco guitar at the age of 8 he was captivated. He recalls how the small words “made in Spain” inside the guitars body aroused a longing from deep within him, like a memory from long ago. From this point he began to both play the instrument and investigate its formation. Gifted with an ability to “make and fix things” he researched both through experience and literature into the fundamentals of the guitar.

At his first opportunity Eitan became an apprentice of Alone Sage, studying the crafts of repair and maintenance of steel string and electric guitars in the Tel Aviv based “Guitarkol” workshop, managed by Eitan Paz.

Pursuing his dream Eitan moved to Cadiz in Spain where he studied the art of flamenco guitar building for five years under the guidance of Master Rafael Romero.

During this time he explored the essence of sound from classical and acoustic guitars.

Today Eitan resides in the old port town of Jaffa in Israel; working with Israel’s finest musicians and making guitarists dreams come true.
