The base has holes so that it can be provisionally secured to the workbench while the top or bottom is being assembled. The base of the structure is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and the top is protected by Kapton® tape.

The use of the jig is very simple. Start by planing the edges of the pieces to be glued. Sand them for a perfect joint. Place them on the structure and make sure there are no gaps in the joint. Lace the structure and the handles together and insert the triangular wedges. Hammer gently until you feel that the joint is firm.
