Rubber Binding Strap General Description:

The 15 meter rubber binding strap is specially designed for luthiers or instrument makers. This rubber binding is ideal for securing instrument bindings while applying adhesives, which guarantees a perfect bond and a good final result. This product is a substitute for the traditional pita string, which can leave residues and mark the guitar.  This elastic rubber for gluing bindings is reusable and does not require a wedge.

To use the rubber binding strap, we recommend first gluing and taping the instrument profile in place. Once the binding is secured, place the rubber binding on the side of the instrument and then pull it up and over the binding making sure it is snug on the edge. It's important not to overlap the rubber, as this will make it difficult for you to see if any gaps form between the binding and the edge.

This rubber is very elastic, allowing you to easily adjust the clamping pressure and apply just the right amount of coercion in particularly difficult spots. A couple of centimeters of space can be left between each turn of the rubber, but if a particularly difficult spot is encountered, clamps can be employed to ensure a perfect bond.
