The Hipshot BabyGrand is the ideal bridge, designed to replace wraparound style bridges. Its unique shape increases the length of the low strings while keeping the high strings short. This feature provides even tension from string to string. Machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, the chassis is very lightweight, extremely strong, and has a liveliness of tone that cast bridges cannot match. In addition, its exceptional stainless steel saddle design delivers more string energy to the bridge chassis. The result is a vast improvement in the guitar's playability, tone and responsiveness.

The bridge comes with its own sockets for the guitar body, and anchor screws. Each anchor screw comes with a nylon washer that prevents the chrome plating of the bridge from marring, and can be locked so that the bridge will not fall out when the strings are removed. Also included are corresponding allen keys for adjusting the height and angle of the bridge, respectively. In addition, each saddle can be adjusted individually with a Phillips head screwdriver.
