German Spruce Indoor Bracewood
Spruce bracewood is one of the woods commonly used by luthiers for the interior reinforcements and harmonic bars of guitars, it is widely used in the construction of the harmonic tops of guitars so its acoustics is excellent, it is also very easy to work and mold thanks to its low density, which makes it perfect for use in our guitar.Â
This European Spruce bracewood is used for reinforcement of instruments with acoustic body, such as the classical and acoustic guitar, the bandurria or the lute among other instruments.
The color of this wood varies from yellowish white to reddish yellow, there being no difference between sapwood and heartwood. The growth rings are visible and highly marked. The grain is very straight and the grain is fine. In the case of this bracewood the wood is free of knots or defects.
Sawing is easy and presents no difficulties, as does planing. It does not present problems in gluing either.
