Its hardness, together with the ease with which it turns and the level of detail and filigree it allows are some of its many points in its favor. The only problem with this wood, the small available size of its pieces, is not even such for all those who, like bagpipe builders, do not need large sections. Its light color, between yellow and ochre, is really attractive, and the softness of its touch once worked is frankly good.
