DESCRIPTION : Bois violet d'une densité de 880 kg/m3. La couleur de l'aubier varie du rose pâle au blanc, la couleur du duramen vire progressivement au violet plus ou moins foncé au contact de l'air.
RECOMMANDATIONS : Le bois a tendance à noircir au contact de l'air, le sciage est facile, mais nécessite l'utilisation d'un matériel puissant. Les scies s'émoussent rapidement.
SÉCHAGE : La vitesse de séchage peut varier de lente à normale, avec un léger risque de déformation.
UTILISATIONS : Instruments de musique, parquets, meubles, construction de bateaux, construction lourde et divers articles spécialisés en bois.
