Purple Heart FSC 100% is unmistakable for its natural purple tone, which deepens over time and with exposure to light. With a density of 880 kg/m³, it offers a firm, uniform structure that allows for clean cuts and crisp shapes with sharp tools.
Native to Central America and botanically named Peltogyne pubescens, it's perfect for visually bold turned pieces, decorative figures, custom handles or sculptural forms. It sands well, though excessive friction can affect its color. In our store you’ll find durable chisels, fine abrasives and neutral oils to maintain its vibrant hue.
