- Wood Description: The sapwood color is white and the heartwood is dark brown. The annual growth rings are visible. The fiber is irregular and can be straight or interlaced. The grain is coarse.
- Recommendations: Sawing is difficult and it has a tendency to clamp the saws. The machining is difficult and the tools must be very sharp.
- Drying: It is a wood that dries easily and quickly. It presents some risk of deformation when large pieces are dried.
