Density (Kg/m3): Obtained by dividing mass by volume.
Stiffness / Young's modulus (Gpa): Indicates the resistance of a piece to deformation under the action of an external force. The greater the stiffness, the less elasticity.
Resonance frequency (Hz): The number of vibrations per second. Each piece has a resonance frequency that characterizes its tone.
Sustain (Q Factor): Indicates the time a piece remains sounding after being struck.
Acoustic radiation coefficient: Indicates how much energy is needed for a piece to vibrate. The lower the energy needed, the higher the coefficient.
The new European Spruce tops from Maderas Barber have undergone a rigorous sound analysis that will allow you to choose the one that best suits your needs based on its sound properties. This analysis has been carried out individually for each top.
When you choose a top for your guitar, you are choosing the sound of your instrument. That is why we have created a sound catalog where you can appreciate the acoustic beauty of each piece.
General Description of European Spruce Top MB Exclusive:
The European Spruce soundboards originate from Europe, although they have also been planted in northeastern regions, the Rocky Mountains, and the Pacific coast of the United States. These pieces for classical or acoustic/dreadnought guitars present a creamy white color with the characteristic shine of this species. They have a fine and uniform texture, with consistently straight grain.
With slow-growing rings from the center to the edges, with very little variation between them and typically free of defects, or if they have any, it won't affect their structure or acoustic properties. Used by luthiers worldwide for high-end guitars.
