Tonewood for guitars and other musical instruments has been our greatest passion since 1957. It all started when Rafael Barber, before his trip to Germany to learn the language, visited his aunt in Madrid. There he met the lodger staying in her house: an older guitar-maker. Hearing that Rafael was going to Germany, the man asked him to bring him some tops, impossible to find in Spain. These few tops that Rafael brought with him aroused the interest of many guitar makers who began to ask him for more and more wood.
Since then and still today, we travel the world in search of the most exotic, exclusive and best valued woods by luthiers and we have more than 90 different wood species, which makes us the world leader in tonewood.
