Guitarras Luthier Hugo ChiliquingaThe Chiliquinga family is a dynasty that today is the third generation of builders of concert classical guitars, requinto and other chordophones in Ecuador.

Hugo Chiliquinga Espín (1941-2011) made many trips to learn about the most suitable woods and materials. This illusion took him around the world in search of techniques and knowledge for the construction of the concert classical guitar with the best Luthiers of the time. In each place he visited he improved his knowledge more and more and experimented with the best woods and materials for their treatment, varnishes and tools that allowed him to improve and obtain an optimal and superior sound.

40 years of research and hard work, culminated in the creation of an Original Own Technique, a unique method in the world to build chordophones and a patent for the structure of the soundboard called "Radial Soundboard for Classical Concert Guitar". Now his family (third generation) in the last 5 years continues with his legacy of investigation and innovation and the desire to offer the best guitars to great musicians around the world.

"For decades, we are very proud to have been accompanied by the finest lutherie woods of Maderas Barber".
