The guitar fretboard is a key part of the guitar, both for its functionality and aesthetics. Gone are the days when only ebony or different types of rosewood were used for fretboards: thanks to the greater availability of other woods as well as increased environmental awareness, the range of woods that a luthier can choose from to build his fingerboard is, nowadays, very wide. In Maderas Barber we are proud to have introduced in the market some woods that have a spectacular performance in the two main characteristics required of a fretboard: hardness to withstand the permanent friction of the strings and the fingernails of the player and an appealing and inspiring appearance. Both qualities coexist harmoniously in our exclusive fingerboards.
