It makes a powerful and warm tone, and due to its high density, it perfectly reflects the sound in the instrument's acoustic box. This density is what gives the Bocote a great stability, resistance and a good "sustain"; qualities that are very enviable for this part of the guitar. Its shape offers some drawings in different brown tonalities that will delight luthiers and guitarists.
