Bridges

Approximated bridge dimensions for classic guitar: 200x33x13mm

Classic guitar bridge is the instrument part where the vibrations of the strings are transferred directly to the sounding board. That’s why it is very important to know how to choose the tonewood for building the bridge. Mostly, if we want an exceptional sound.

Regarding to the design, although there are some variations, they usually have the same basic one. Some bridges are built with other different material, but mostly of them are built with high quality tonewoods in order to give a warmer touch to the instrument. The most used woods are Ebony and Rosewood, thanks to its great sound transmission. But there are other woods which are being more used lately, especially if you want to innovate and maintaining the same common aesthetic between headplate, bridge and fingerboard.
