• Purple Heart Carved Top for Electric Guitar and Bass is a very good option for those who want to beautify their Guitar Body with a medium thickness (16 mm), perfect to carve and shape the Guitar Body Top and thus recreate the great Carved Tops designs. On the other hand, it allows an easier carving than the thicker ones, reducing the weight of the instrument and of course spending less money, having at the end a great guitar.
   
  As for the Purple Heart, also known as Amaranth, is a wood that its cutting color is a gray brown but on contact with air oxidizes and the fantastic dark violet that we use for our guitars appears. It has its peculiarity in their different sizes and shapes buds that make Purple Heart a very attractive wood. The fiber is straight and the grain varies from fine to medium. The drying rate is from slow to normal and deformation or cracks may occur. The wood is easy to work but requires using powerful equipments.
