  • Dimensions: (500/550x170/200x16 mm)x2
  • Botanical name: Populus alba
  • Origin: Spain
  • Density: 420-480 kg/m3
  • Poplar Carved Top for Electric Guitar and Bass is a very good option for those who want to beautify their Guitar Body with a medium thickness (16 mm), perfect to carve and shape the Guitar Body Top and thus recreate the great Carved Tops designs. On the other hand, it allows an easier carving than the thicker ones, reducing the weight of the instrument and of course spending less money, having at the end a great guitar.

As for the Poplar, our Tops are Poplar Burl, a white wood. It has its peculiarity in their buds of different sizes and shapes that make this wood very attractive visually. It is very light and has very low density. Poplar is easy to dry, but must take special care during natural drying and subsequent stacking. Poplar wood should never be stored in places with high humidity. Sawing is easy, but it is recommended to work with very sharp tools.
