  As for the Madagascar Rosewood, it is a brown wood which darkens during drying. It has an average texture and it is a stable fast-drying wood. Its fiber can be straight or interlaced, the grain is medium and black stripes that can produce a figure known as "spider webbing" are very common. Without any doubt, it is necessary to remark the special sound produced by this wood on Electric Guitars and Basses, and that it has replaced Brazilian Rosewood, a wood that stopped being sold. The drying rate is slow and because of its fragility it requires the use of powerful equipments.
