The Hipshot Xtender™ BT7 allows you to instantly drop a string's tuning and return it to its original setting with the flick of a switch.

For example, you can drop the 4th string from E to D, and if your strings have enough gauge, you can go all the way down to a 4th (E-B). To work properly, the Xtender requires very precise and smooth tuning, which is provided by a 27:1 turn ratio and a tension-adjustable nylon bearing system.

It is a direct replacement for Fender® Highway One bass tuners and is also a popular choice for many contemporary USA and Custom Shop Fender® basses and Squier® Vintage Modified basses. In addition, many independent builders have incorporated this accessory into their designs.

It is a precision construction with a laser-cut machined chassis with no castings or stampings.

The key is made of stainless steel, which prevents tarnishing and rust in the area where you touch the tuner the most.

Fits 18mm peg holes.
