The Desert Sand color is a very light, low-saturation reddish-yellow shade, reminiscent of sand. It can also be described as a deep beige.

General Motors first used this color on early Cadillac models as a paint option.

Fender introduced it in the late 1950s, primarily on the Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic models, as well as on some Lap Steel guitars from that era.

Over the last decade, Nitorlack has become one of the leaders in nitrocellulose lacquers, accurately replicating most of the exclusive colors of the major guitar brands. Nitorlack products are used by countless builders around the world, both professionals and amateurs.
