The name of this finish comes from the Hawaiian feminist association Mary Kaye, following a promotional ad where this color was featured, widely used in the 1950s and 60s.

To enhance the wood grain, a black grain filler can be applied, available in our store. It is pre-formulated and ready to use.

The key is to apply thin layers of tinted finish, gradually achieving the desired tone and depth.
