Classic Candy Apple Red finish. This color was first used by Fender in 1963, inspired by the sugar coating of candied apples. It was Leo Fender’s favorite color.

The Candy Apple Red effect is achieved by applying silver or gold metallic particles before the tinted color coat. In this process, the applied color is not opaque but semi-transparent, allowing the metallic layer underneath to remain visible.
