The Aztec Gold color was added to the Fender catalog in 1983 as a Custom finish in the Elite series (Japan, 1983-1986).

Since then, it has been used in several Fender Jazzmaster, Telecaster, and Stratocaster models, including the Lincoln Brewster Signature.

This color is based on the legendary 1972 Buick GSX.

Over the last decade, Nitorlack has become one of the leaders in nitrocellulose lacquers, accurately replicating most of the exclusive colors of the major guitar brands. Nitorlack products are used by countless builders around the world, both professionals and amateurs.
