MAG-ic Probe WiFi – Magnetic Thickness Caliper
The MAG-ic Probe WiFi is an electronic caliper designed to accurately measure the thickness of tops, backs, and ribs on musical instruments, even when fully assembled. It uses a magnetic system with an external probe and an internal ball that align through the material, allowing precise readings without damaging the surface.
It works with wood and other non-ferromagnetic materials (plastics, aluminum, copper, composites) up to 15 mm thick. Measurements can be displayed in real time on any WiFi-enabled device, without the need for additional apps.
The free MAG-ic Probe Lite software lets you record readings directly onto an image of the instrument. The optional MAG-ic Probe PRO software generates full-color contour maps for advanced analysis.
