String Spacing Ruler

Overview String Spacing Ruler:

Essential for a correct string spacing at the nut, the String Spacing Ruler is made of strong, flexible and light stainless steel.

Using it is very simple: first mark the position of the outermost strings on the uncarved nut. Once you have done that, just slide the ruler while keeping the labeled face upwards. Slide until the two marks you have made align with two gaps in the ruler that contain 4 empty gaps in the space between them. Once the slots are located, you only have to use a mechanical pencil, make a small groove with a file to mark the final positions.

The ruler can also be used for basses, you only have to locate the appropriate number of strings.
