Overview Blowpipe Ebony Galician Bagpipe B♭ 350/360x45x45 mm:

In Maderas Barber we have available all the necessary sizes to build your Galician bagpipe. Pieces of these dimensions are used to build the Blowpipe on a Galician bagpipe in B flat.

Ebony is, together with blackwood, the most sought-after wood in the construction of woodwind instruments. Like the former, it has similar characteristics in terms of hardness, ease of turning and its timbral qualities, being somewhat less dense -and therefore lighter- and not as lustrous as blackwood. In any case, it is one of the favorite woods of woodwind instrument makers.

Features:

  • Dimensions: 350/360x45x45 mm
  • Botanical name: Diospyros crassiflora Hiern
  • Origin: Africa
  • Density: 1030-1050 Kg/m3
