Translucent Yellow in Linseed Oil 8 ml
Translucent yellow in linseed oil is a concentrated oil color made with iron oxide (Pigment Yellow 42, C.I. 77492) dispersed in linseed oil. It is supplied in 8 ml tubes and contains no driers, allowing full control in varnish and finishing recipes.
This transparent pigment has a warm yellow tone, especially suitable for the making and restoration of violins and other string instruments. It can be diluted with turpentine, and if faster drying is desired, 1–2 % manganese drier can be added.
A traditional material of great chromatic purity, designed for luthiers seeking to reproduce historical finishes with fidelity and complete control of the process.
