• Description: Pfeil Gouge, D series, 1S profile, a completely flat gouge with inclined cut.
  The blade has a slight chamfer to make wood cutting easier. This kind of gouge is regularly used without the mace. The chamfer or angle of the blade increases the real angle cut in the wood, which allows to extract thiner shavings. Its common use is for letter and ornaments engraving. The initation version has a shorter size, making costs cheaper and use easier, but also making its durability shorter.
  The Pfeil D series gouges have a lower length from the rest of the Pfeil gouges, both the handle and the steel blade have a lower length from the professional gouges. Its lower size makes them specially designed for initiation in wood carving and small hand people. However, production and material quality are the same as the professional gouges.
